The Leshan Buddha

"I wish dad were here to see this..." ~ June 18th 2021 I can't imagine the excitement that was felt when the inspiration first hit to build the Leshan Buddha. Now I'm aware that excitement is not a very Buddhist idea with the whole belief in detachment :) What I am certain of is that no great endeavor is ever accomplished without a rush of energy soaring YES! I felt it when the first intimations of this website came in January 2018 and then again as soon as I was supposed to begin building it. I barely thought of it in between. I have never experienced anything unfold more effortlessly. For me there was no personal drive, so much so that I always presumed it was for another. Now even though it is very simple—basic really—I feel enthralled and amazed and inspired and profoundly appreciative not just for the Guidance but for the being done through! It is an incredible experience to watch all your fears fall away when simply Following. That's what adventures in forgiveness are for—when fear falls away.

The Leshan Buddha

Today I realized the Leshan Buddha was a real thing. I'd only ever experienced it in the animated movie Abominable (2019) but the scene that takes place at the incredibly large shrine had stolen my heart with it's beautiful violin solo. I've collaborated on many projects with many seeming "people" but I've never experienced this level of Grace. There's no concern, or shame, or over thinking anything... Just moment by moment doing the next right minded thing, safe and secure in the knowledge that I am loved and cared for. The thought appeared as this little blog came together that "I wish my dad were here to see this."And of course he is. Because in my choosing to experience this Innocence by accepting this Forgiveness —is for all! What a gift! Unbridled passion matched with pure safety. Love extending again and again unto itSelf! I've been up all night. My partner Chris sat straight up in bed and exclaimed, "You know it's daylight?" Then fell back beneath the snuggle of bonus time. I hadn't noticed actually. But now as I type this last line my neck feels heavy like I have a head the size of the Leshan Buddha. And so I'll lay it down for a moment and see what happens next....

POST SCRIPT: February 25th 2024 ~ Live ACIM Leshan Buddha YES! Inspiration

I discovered this post while preparing another. It gave me such an updraft into the original inspiration and miracles that brought Live ACIM forth that I had a feeling to to share it. Immediately an email function I had never seen on the site appeared and automatically prepared a mail-out! Once more all I had to give was my "YES."

We have all been deepening in faith and trust with the Spirit and allowing our highly individualized plan for awakening to be set to sea, beyond familiar shores. Oceans of awareness ebb and flow as we relax deeper into the buoyant wave that carries us home. Sometimes when waters are choppy we can despair and fear we have gone astray, but the truth is "all things work together for good." The insight again and again remains: we could have trusted, even then!

To the degree that we rely on our own power there will be fear. And yet what is that but a clear Call back Love's Presence?

The presence of fear is a sure sign that you are trusting in your own strength. The awareness that there is nothing to fear shows that somewhere in your mind, though not necessarily in a place you recognize as yet, you have remembered God, and let His strength take the place of your weakness. The instant you are willing to do this there is indeed nothing to fear. ACIM (W-48.3:1-3)

Remember this entire projection has a singular purpose: Awareness of Dreaming. Let any unexpected occurrences still your mind, and draw you deeper to the Comforter. For as little Children we were never meant to travel alone. Ask to see with the Clarity of the Holy Spirit, what is truly helpful, and put your heartfelt "yes" there. Deign not to change the story, but choose to transcend the seeming script. YES to to Awareness, YES to Seeing we were merely mistaken, YES to Miracles, YES to Invulnerability and the unexpected happy outcomes of yielding right of Way that we could never personally dream of.
